It is a long and testing and BIG hill but with the funds raised...anything is achievable. AMAZING everyone - thank you doesn't seem enough.

Good luck everyone, hope all goes well, having done it three years running many years ago, the best part is after 'the beacon'!
Can't be there to see you all arrive down here as am at yet another football tournament with Bailey, but have fun, the sea is nice and cool ready for you to cooooool down!

That's my last longish cycle, just short of 40 miles with plenty of PRs. As I cycled back through Richmond park, it was finished off in style with a fly past by the Red Arrows!!!

Nice one - sounds like we are all about ready to go for this. Fancy the red arrows turning out for you ( ) - perhaps a good sign since their trademark formation is 'the diamond 9'. The BraziBay bunch sounds better...

Just got round to watching the 'beat the beacon' video, hadn't realised you were doing that..... In the modern vernacular.........'Respect'

Well done to all the team for your hard work and training to put this together and raising the fantastic figure on your 'Just Giving' page.

Might be out of wifi range from Friday, so best wishes and good luck to you all for Sunday, most of all, ....have fun.  

Shirts are here guys , look great and we certainly won't be losing one another (apologies for the pics , rushed home at lunch time and didn't have time to view,edit or retake them). Thanks to Marcus for all is help in the process.

Doo you know what time you anticipate crossing the finishing line?
Scooby may be able to come down on Sunday - doo you have any tips on which roads to use/avoid?

Million dollar question Scoobs... Our start time is 0700hrs but can't guarantee we'll get off on time so let's hope we can start by 0730 Hrs. I did the ride in 2012 as a complete novice on a pretty old Mountain bike and it took me 5hrs 25mins Start to Finish. I only stopped to top up my water bottles but as there are nine of us this time it's likely there could be a number of pit stops on route.

My guess is it's going to take us around six hours , but that's just a hunch and would bring us to Brighton around 1300-1330 hrs.. I'm sure at some stage there will be updates on facebook so Mrs Scooby could keep and eye on that ..

If you are able to come down and greet us that would be fantastic... Realistically we could be there anytime from 1200hrs (unlikely)- 1430 Hrs... If we're any later than that HELP !

Weather seems to be set fair although the wind speed has increased since I last looked.. Fingers crossed it'll be behind us more than against us...

There are park and ride schemes on either side of Brighton, getting into the centre for the end of the race by vehicle is quite frankly a nightmare unless you arrive very early on Sunday morning. Best avoid the A27 and A23. The A24,22 coming down from North are always busy but you can cut into either Brighton or Hove using the A259 and 283. Parking is always an issue as gets busy early on the day.
If you go onto the council website there is usually details of the park and ride.

Good advice - thank you. I'm going straight from the drop off at Clapham Common down to Brighton. Should arrive about 9ish. Hoping to get a cheeky BraziBay space on Madeira Drive.
