Flyboarding - strap yourself onto a board to which, through a 4" pipe attached to a jetski, water at high pressure is pumped out through twin nozzles. You "fly" on jets of water. Sheer lunacy but great fun.

It was a lot of fun. Seems tricky to get going at first - there's a very fine balance point such that you control the thing with tiny toe movements - but I was able to get up and out of the water after only a few minutes. Loved "dolphining" along and then rising up out of the water. Thoroughly recommend having a go and will be going again to get better.

OK thanks for explaining - but what about your board & paddle - did you not use it? Pics?

No. Had planned on going south to the coast but one look at the traffic on the M4 and M5 put paid to that plan. Board stayed in its bag.

This afternoon we packed up ready for an early start on Friday.. All we need to pack now is beer ,, cider and wine otherwise known as the essentials...

Busy week at work ahead , staff making the most of the bank holiday and another on paternity leave for a month so thought we'd make the most of the bank holiday Monday and get her all packed up and ready to go. Also have to be at VWK on Friday morning on route to have the windscreen replaced so trying to get ahead of ourselves...
But still excited of course :-)

We spent the weekend in wet an windy Wales, calling in at Longlife on the way back for the obligatory stainless replacement.  Stan's system suffered the same problems as others have posted.  Bar some clean clothes and beer were all ready for the weekend.

Well it seems our Cornwall trip in Daisy has been quite eventful. Had the fuel filler connector pipe replaced a couple of weeks ago but could still smell petrol at times. Been having a few troubles getting Daisy started too. This morning, I took the kids to Newquay, filled up with fuel on the way, Daisy wouldn't start again so bump started my way out of the garage, the petrol smell was awful by the time we parked in Newquay & called out the AA. AA man arrived & then I noticed the puddle of petrol by the rear wheel. AA man called out the fire service to make it safe! Daisy now in a garage in St Austell (we were camping in her!!), so we're currently residing in an ancient, gross caravan on the campsite / much to my daughters' disgust! Daisy in need of a new starter motor & another replacement fuel filler connector. Paul at Brand autos been very helpful in ordering one from Danbury & getting it sent straight down to the garage in St Austell.
Not the holiday we were hoping for, looks like Daisy won't be ready until fri at the earliest

Oh dear Sunshine Daisy. Until you've had one problematic trip, you haven't experienced the full Kombi package! Keep the faith, I'm sure you'll laugh about this one in the future.

Poor Daisy    I sympathise. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Thank you. Been laughing all the way through this (beats the other option of crying!). Will carry on enjoying our holiday (on foot!)

You'd all laugh too if you could see the caravan we're now staying in. Will post some pics when we get home to amuse you all!

I have a petrol pipe replacement from Danbury sitting in Bluebell waiting to go on in a few weeks time.
