| Hi we got our 2011 camper at the end of June this year from VW Kampers, we've been camping nearly every weekend since then and did a 2 week trip round Northern France at the end of August, us and the kids love it. We been looking at this site for quite a while (!) and it has been really great helping us spec our camper and for all the helpful info about Kombis. Here's some pics. | Nice colour and nice interior. Looks like you had nice weather in France - we also went to France, but not in the van, and also had good weather. i think it was the only nice 2 weeks in Europe that had any good weather !!
Welcome. | |

| hi there, love your van.... and the interior. Gives me a few ideas as I am seriously thinking of getting one. May I ask you a few questions?
Do you have 5 seats with seat belts? How are you dealing with storage ie all the kitchen stuff? are you using the buddy seat for storage? I'd love to grill you a bit. Maybe we could have a chat sometime? thanks joanna

| A great way for extra storage are the plastic storage boxes you can buy with the lids on. Easy to pick up, re pack and put in the campervan in minutes so your ready to go...Just place them in the boot behind the bed | |

| Hi and welcome - great colour by the way.
For storage, we use two plastic boxes from B & Q, that are designed to go under a bed. They have lids and wheels and we keep them in the back of the van.
When we pitch up we put them on the shelf in the pop up. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| On the storage front . . . We have a Rio layout and the cupboard space seems endless! Plenty of room for all the crockery and cutlery - in sets of four without a problem, plus space for food Plastic boxes from "Really Useful Boxes" (or similar name) with locking lids come in a large range of sizes and colours You can, if you are like us, try to match it to the camper colour - Staples or similar stock them Storage under the RnR bed and in the wardrobe at the rear is good, plus clothes in the buddy seat Long weekends for three people and two weeks for two people have not been a problem All the best Rooby Roo ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| The storage space that popping the roof creates when you pitch is invaluable, particularly if it's chucking it down outside and you're yet to set up an awning etc. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Thank you for the warm welcome and nice comments about Denvy - this site has been invaluable in answering any questions we have had when buying and owning a Brazibay , do a quick search and there's the answer!
Joanne, we have 2 3 point seat belts and 1 centre lap belt in the back. When it comes to storage we use those recycled laundry bags, they fold flat when empty and come in some nice designs. We always take an awning and as the others have said there's space under the back seat, buddy box and in the pop top when up (just remember to put it down before you drive off!!!). Any other questions you're sure to find the answer on this site.
Yes the campsite was Le Brevedent - highly recommend it - we were in good company - 2 other Bays and 2 Airstreams when we where there. Hope to go again next year have taken a note of a nice lakeside pitch!
Thanks again
Lindsay

| Hello Lindsay & Ian - we've just joined this forum too and I have to start with a small confession........! We visited Ian at VW kampers back in June (?) last year just as your van was getting the finishing touches, to choose one of our own. We couldn't quite put our finger on the colour we wanted though......that is until we saw yours!
So (and I feel weirdly guilty for admitting this) we copied your colour scheme - inside and out!
There I said it.
The only slight difference is we went for the 3/4 seat and full-size units and got Ian to make us a nice colour-matching dummy wheel cover for the nose. Apart from that though im afraid it's an unashamed copy!
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery.....?!
A-hem.
Oh and we live in Brighton too so will probably see you at some point (which will be awkward....).
Will upload pics soon - just joined the forum today.....

| Hi Lindsay and Ian Denvy sure is a cutie! Watch out for the Mozzies on the lakeside pitches at Le Brevedent - we got bitten alive a few years back - but still an ace site. See you around Cheers Rich | |

| Thanks Matt - looking forward to a spot of warm weather now - got our van towards the end of last summer so unfortunately only managed to squeeze a few trips in before Winter ;-(
So far we've already got 10 days in France booked, a festival and an easter weekend in Dorset planned!
Can't wait. | |
