Brazi Bay Guinness World Record

Hey Guys

Perhaps trying to create a world record gathering of Brazi bays in one location is not a stupid idea - having seen some of the entrants in the link below
Scooby says we should go for it for next year

Any thoughts ?

Sounds like a plan. Not sure we'll be regarded as anything near 'wacky' but certainly worth a blast somewhere in my BraziBay. Next year's Kombi Sleepover?

Having heard about a world record set in another car club I'm in, there is certainly a lot of work involved though as a word of warning.

How many bays would we need for a record? I wonder if there is a lower limit that they have to award you with a world record?

I can always ask people on the other club to give us some tips and advice when dealing with the world record people if you like?

Good idea....Maybe ask Guinness book of records what the number we need to beat is?

I've looked at the GWR site and the only record that comes close is one for "largest number of VW cars on parade" being 2,728 VW Beetles, set (bizarrely) in Sao Paulo Brazil in May 1995. See link.

Can't find anything to do with campers, bays, Brazis or otherwise so as far as I know we ('we' being the event organiser - Tim?) just needs to register on the GWR site then submit an application - link.

LOVE the idea, we would be there. Danbury on board would be invaluable, how many Brazil bays are there on their customer database? plus it would be fantastic for business. Maybe the Hampster could promote it on Top Gear, we may even improve their opinion of caravan type vehicles, especialy if we can find a Bay that does 0-60 in 3.5 sec to impress Clarkson.

A BraziBay attempt at a Guiness World's Record might not be "wacky", but these sure are . . .
