| Does anyone have their rear windows tinted? I had mine done on my last LR Disco and found it good for privacy and also for keeping the temperature down for our dog when he was in the back.
I've not seen a Bay with tints and wondered if anyone had any experience and/or could recommend a good company to do it.

| Had mine done. One for the look and Two for privacy to keep out prying eyes when I have all my camping stuff etc in when I go away.
I just got a local tinting company to do mine. Cost £150 to do the 5 back windows. There is a slight gap where it meets the rubber seal but from the outside you would never know. If you do the side windows be carefull as steam from cooking and boiling the kettle can cause it to peel off. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| We have ours done, not too dark though, just enough to take the clearness away and stops people feeling the need to have a wee look in as they pass! Local company did ours too, which I suppose isn't much use to you | |

| You could always whitewash the glass on the inside - like you stick on a greenhouse!
That would have a lovely effect. NOT!! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Maybe I should get some of that orange film that shopkeepers put on their shop fronts to stop fading! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| Got our focus done and it's great for the little one in the back but I'm not sure in the van, I like the fact you can see out clearly and the little loves watching the world go by but she does get the sun.

| The good thing with tints is it's difficult for people to look in but you have no problem seeing out. I got the darkest tints I could and from the inside it doesn't make much difference ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |
