| Well back from weekend away at Golden Cap Camp Site, Chideock, near Bridport. All 7 of us 4 sleeping in camper and 3 in new awning. Great sea view [img] [/img] And we were determined to enjoy the sea view regardless of out typical Easter (cold/wet) weather | |

| Know that neck of the woods quite well, coming from Axminster At least you've had sun. I've not seen any of that yet. | |

| Love this campsite, great views, peaceful, fishing at night with kids, clean large showers.
Very wet awning to dry out now somehow - too large for garden | |

| Hi HappyHouse Looks great - we swim at Burton Bradstock regularly - fishing for Mackeral off the beach is a joy - fish, gut/clean and BBQ - nothing quite like it. Well done braving the great British Weather! | |

| We drove through Chideock on Friday, visiting friends just North of Axminster, and again on Sunday heading Eas, back to the New Forest.
It looked great! ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Seeing and hearing about all these camping trips is making me very impatient. And I know it's only going to get worse as there is still another 7 weeks to go. | |

| wow, tell me in end of the year how many mils do you drive with the van :-) great hobby, isnt it? what says your partner about this hobby ? do you maks camping before you have the van? in my family is a man, he maks camping every weekend at the same place. and this since many many years. i think the camping car doesnt drive anymore. and that is not so good i think about. for just a week okay, but like the way you do, to drive on many places is good. :-) ________________________________________________________________________________ http://www.t2-c.de

| We went to the Ile de Re last year and La Rochelle although not in the van. We stayed in L'Aiguillan sur Mer about an hour's drive away. Beautiful area - and the weather was good too. Had a really fab time and can thoroughly recommend the area. Long drive there though unless you break it up and take a couple of days getting there. | |

| Ile de Re is one of my favourite places in the world! We've been several times but never for more than a day at a time.
We're staying on the Municipal site in Saint Martin de Re - a beautiful port with fantastic sea food restaurants. La Flotte is lovely too.
When in August are you going?

| Ile de Rey is sooo much nicer than Ile D'Oleron - which I found quite disappointing - then again it was that summer where the temp went up to 43 degrees - and people were dying in the streets! | |
