It's raining on the south coast.

I will shortly be standing in the streets of Portsmouth and in true 'Anchorman' style shouting 'BRAZIBAYS ASSEMBLE' through the Kombi horn.  

Almost here. I can see land! Fantastic sunrise this morning. Pics later in the week hopefully.

We're already one crew down. Dalesman had issues yesterday but hopefully they'll be able to catch a sailing later today to join us.

Collapsed front suspension - shock absorber sheared off, bent steering rods (I think) all the fault of a dodgy cattle grid - I'll be having words with Hampshire CC Highways Dept on my return - hopefully getting sorted Tues and on the ferry Tues eve.

Fingers crossed for you guys, if I'm right your having it fixed by Paul at Brand Autos, if anyone can, Paul can!!

Wow, what an amazing time. Great company, the perfect campsite for what we were after and an array of BraziBays that caused a stir wherever we went.

We got back late last night, most continued from Portsmouth into the night to reach their homes around the country, others pitched up in my driveway campsite. I've just heard the distinct purring of a couple of AquaBays drive up my road - hope everyone had a safe trip home by the time you read this.

Many thanks again to all my BraziBay friends who came along to the Kaper, who made my gang so welcome and simply for making the whole holiday such fun. How cool was it rolling along in Kombi Konvoy?! Let's do it again .....

Thanks for sending that message through on our behalf Tim - great one, and they well deserve the praise - it was a splendid holiday all round.
Personally - I think that the hols started with the Kombi's taking centre stage and it ended up with them being important, but the friendships made and reinforced became more important than our beloved vans.
Now looking forward to 2014 - are we going to start a new thread for ideas on next years Kaper? There may already be one which I have missed. I think that we were talking about a vote between Italy / North Spain or France again. I know where my vote lies (and anyone out on the Kaper probably does too! LOL).
We would definitely be up for another Kaper in 2014. It would though be important that it is a consensus decision and hopefully some or most of the Kaper Krew from this year could make it again - especially the teens - as they all got on so brilliantly and I know that Alex is quite missing the Ringwood guys (and others too).

I thought all the kids got on great - better than I expected actually.

And the young ones got on too !!

Sadly, Martin, those dates match almost exactly the dates we are in the States. Heading over to see a friend I haven't seen for 15 years and to witness the total eclipse.
