here Great set of photos of a FAB weekend - thanks for sharing. We did not take any pics on Sunday so perhaps we could 'liberate' a few from your selection if we need too! | Home safe and sound. Thanks to everyone involved, worth the 700 mile trip (To quote the style of c13mpr.com) Things we have learned: 1.Watch wisely if others start to pack up early, rain is on it way! 2. Pack the electricity bag, even when you have no EHU, as thats where you keep the spare battery for your camera and the 12v mobile phone chargers! Oops!

| Ben and I left Anita's around 1.30pm, settled the bill and headed to Bicester Outlet Village for a decent bit of tucker as we were famished!! The journey home 'could' have been faster, but the M40 and M25 had their usual delights to offer, but somehow it just didn't really matter because I had such a great feeling of contentment. Not only that but full to brim, Max seems to go even better and we showed a number of other road users that not all VW campers sit in the slow lane! So, Max unpacked, a coffee by my side, it's time for me to write this .... In no particular order, I'd like to offer my deepest thanks to, Scooby's duo for their Disney quiz, Krispy Kremes and for hosting the auction. MarcusH and his Mrs for providing and running the delicious ice cream and milkshake stand. Ian Harris from VW Kampers for once again sponsoring the ever popular Mega Slide. Mr and Mrs beakyboy for providing and running the coffee and cakes stand. Paul Brand for bringing along the hilarious Cash Grabber, Bouncy Castle and the Annual Service offer into our auction. Neil Oakley from Litesteer for sponsoring the Friday night BBQ food. Mr and Mrs Absinthekombi for providing and running the hot dog stand. Harryhornet and family for providing and running their Dubby Donut stand and for bringing along the back-up projector screen. Surfwagen Stan and family for hosting their Ten Pin Bowling alley game. URmysunshine for the cheeky tattoos. Eddy and family for the brilliant Beer Pong and prizes. Hemlock and Dickymint1972 for the chocolate brownies and hamburger cakes. kiteman and kitegirl for the stonking set of house tunes on Saturday night and Sunday morning's fun with the dog show. Tallulah for his brilliant Old Skool 90's set in the last hour on Saturday night, the use of his projector and screen. Irishman for the stress he went through to sort the BBQs for Friday night's burgers and chips, and for doing the cooking of course. Matt from Danbury for coming along once again, getting involved and offering the £300 voucher into our auction. Scooby, Tallulah, kiteman and irishman for simply being the best admin team, giving up their time to help me to make the Sleepover as good as we can for everyone. Everyone who bought anything at any of the stands, anyone who bid at the auction, everyone who got into fancy dress for the theme nights and indeed simply everyone who came along, without you the show would be nothing but an idea in my head! And bizarrely, finally I'd like to thank my campervan Max for coming into my life. Had I not taken over ownership of my Kombi back in 2009, I would never have set this forum up and the Sleepover would never have happened, and I wouldn't have all the fantastic people that I now know consequently and regard as great friends in my life, both to me and my son. Sleep well tonight, I will and I'll see you at next year's Sleepover. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

It's more than just the Kombi's now, they're just what brought us together. It's the people and the event itself that makes this forum what it is. | Looks like you all had a cracking time, gutted to have missed it. Was going to try and make a visit on Saturday, but two family birthday celebrations and an MOT over the weekend scuppered my escape plan......... next year hopefully.
And agree with you kiteman.

| Thanks to Beakyboy's coffee stand, I nipped onto Amazon (other online shops are available) and bought a Tassimo machine for £35. Seemed a bargain to recreate their fab drinks | |
