VANGO KELA AIRBEAM STANDARD

Been looking for an awning.

Decided to buy the Vango Kela Airbeam standard.

if anyone wants one, the cheapest we've seen is Lowdhams leisure at Huddersfield. there brand new in the box for £420... and Steve is the man to see there. A really knowledgeable nice bloke as well.

Just wondered what was the reasoning behind your decision?
Many on here have a Kyham Motordome Awning.
In fact we have the Sleeper version and are very happy with it.

I asked advice on here who thought what about the awnings and which brand etc... then I saw Jason's post on another thread which said he had one and Danbury supplied them so I thought they must be right for our Kombi if Danbury use them.

I requested a price from Danbury through Jason on the same post but had £420 quoted for an ex demo to collect, or to pay courier charges if delivered to me. Which would have put the cost up somewhat.

So I just called Lowdhams in the area where I live and they come up with a price of £420 for a brand new one... when we collected it, they actually did it slightly cheaper than that as we purchased some more stuff.

Seems if I had waited...( or been told I could have had a new one elsewhere, at £409) id have been a bit better off.


I've still got to put the b****r up though yet... ill let you know how I get on.

As I little side note, as people advertise on here, I always try to give them something back by trying them first....

I really like mine - and use it loads - goes up in 5 minutes max (one person), and often have to then help my pals (4 people) to put up their non-inflatable awning!

Yes great awnings... I use nothing else now as they are just so easy to put up and I like carrying one bag instead of two ... Our special offer only lasts whilst we've got stock on special offer so if anyone wants a good deal please pm me ASAP ..

If you fancy one, £409 is a good price... i price matched the world.
And reading the reports they look good.

A wee tip - I inflate mine to 6 or 7, realised this after reading the instructions - should have read the instructions before pitching in a high wind!

I have the Vango Sapero. It's fabulous!! I can't fault it at all. Been brilliant in all weathers. Very well built and designed and perfect for my Kombi.

Thanks guys, ive not had chance to do a practice run (inflation) yet... so hope it all goes well on site eh?

It takes minutes to put up. I can get whole tent up in insish and then all pegged out in 20-30. Fab equipment.
