Update 1st Feb:

Nik911 and I did a recce of the pubs today and a firm favourite shone through.

The White Horse at Graffham not only has a huge car park, it's in a glorious location and the place is just perfect for us as a group.  I had a nice long chat with the owners and they are looking forward to meeting and feeding the BraziBunch.

I've put a deposit down and they'll be expecting us from 5pm onwards for drinks and then food from 6pm.  I've attached the menu.  Could I ask all those attending to pay me £10 per BraziBay to go towards the deposit.  Pm me and I'll drop you the payment details.  Have a look at the menu and let me know by Tuesday 17th February what you'd like to order as that will give The White Horse a chance to order what's necessary and have our food ready for 6pm.  Drop me a pm with your choices please?

The day is shaping up quite nicely.  Here's the plan as of Feb 9th:

10.00 - 10.30am meet in the Hog's Back Cafe car park. Postcode GU10 1HQ

10.30 depart in Kombi Konvoy to Lasham Airfield (GU34 5SS) where we've been invited to visit the Gliding Club.  The plan is for us to konvoy to the Gliding Heritage Centre on the south side of the airfield.  There we will meet enthusiasts who have as much passion for their aircraft as we do our campervans. There should be some good photo opportunities and we'll see the folks there putting their aircraft into action.  There's a sizeable restaurant in the Clubhouse where we can grab some lunch whilst watching the take-offs and landings.  Then we'll move on to ....

2.00pm Konvoy to The Devil's Punchbowl (GU26 6AG) (National Trust Car Park if you are a member) for a walk.

4.30pm Cruise through the beautiful countryside to The White Horse, Graffham (GU28 0NT)

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, regardless it'll be a kolourful day.

Unfortunately we have a friends wedding to attend on the same day so unlikely we will be able to join, I will look at the timings to see if we might be available for part of the adventure.

PS: Tallulah hasn't stopped being out and about this winter, we've even slept in her already this year! Thinking about popping along to the local LTV Vdub meet this Sunday depending on weather and what plans Mrs Tallulah has that she is yet to tell me about....

Scooby is having some rust issues resolved at present - not sure if he will be back in time to attend - but if he is we should be there!

We should be up for this too depending on timings but sure we can make it work. It's one of my Saturdays off work so what better way to spend it

At present we are in Plymouth and returning home that saturday, won't know for definite tho' till nearer the time. If not we will tag along.

Ideas for places to swing by on this one welcome please???

Think picturesque, glorious countryside/forests, somewhere 11+ BraziBays can stop for a picnic lunch/coffee and finally a pub with a roaring fire that serves reasonably priced food and has parking for all the campers. Looking forward to it already!

I'm happy to put some thought/research into this tonight. We'll be bringing Barney along so could really do with a dog friendly pub.

There's the devils punch bowl at Hindhead, just the other side of the tunnel. Parking may be an issue though

OK, a couple of suggestions to kick things off -

Meet at the starting point of Hogs Back Cafe.

A 20 min cruise (could be made longer) to Alice Holt Forest nr Farnham. It looks good for cycling walking or even a bit of go ape if you like climbing trees. Also a large cafe and picnic areas.

From there a 30 min cruise to The Fox and Goose Pub at Greywell (nr M3) Good village pub with excellent food, log fires and dog friendly. I work close by so I could check out the car park and whether we need to book.

Just some ideas....just looking forward to meeting up and having some fun.

Depending upon how long you want to drive a detour to the New Forest might be worth while. There is ornamental drive to explore and at the deer sanctuary location there is a large car park (often with pot holes) plus toilets and some picnic tables.
