Kombi History?

Hello all, this Brazilian kombi just appeared on the bay, i wonder if it doe`s or did belong to anyone on this forum?

Don't recognise it, but it looks pretty good to me.

First registered 1st October 2006 and MOT expires 16th July 2015.

Nice standard looking BraziBay with the Diamond layout.  Low mileage for age.  Surf bars on the roof may have caused leakage, so check for that.  Cooler box rather than a fridge but that's no show stopper. Could do with a bit of a polish and wax, but that's no problem either.

Ad says all the right things.  Give it a go. I'd expect that to fetch at least £17-18k.  

Thanks for your input Tim,£17-18k would certainly be within my price range, I have e-mailed the seller regarding the reserve price, it could worth the trip to Wales for a nosey.

No probs John, why not ask dazdub to go along and check it out for you? It could well be within a reasonable distance for him.

As a reminder folks, there are plenty of folks dotted around the UK who are happy to checkout used BraziBays .... just ask.

The reserve is at 19k,no documented service history for the current ownership and not taxed so a road test is out of the question, any further thoughts on this kombi?

Worth a look with someone who knows what to check for I'd say.

Get them to tax it so it can be test driven. If they get a sale for 1 month's worth of tax it'd be prudent. Any unused whole months they'd get a refund on.

I would suggest a RAC or AA inspection and road test so you don't have any nasty surprises……Looks like some painting is required too as described with 'rust spots'. As Tim has said vendor should tax for the sake of one months cost so people can drive it and check the gearbox performs correctly, suspension is not seized, brakes work correctly etc etc….Danbury recommend servicing every six months so a proper service history / record is essential. Good luck.

I certainly would require a AA inspection and of course a road test would be essential to ascertain any issues.

Hello Tim, I would like to ask if you could cast your eye over the kombi if you had a spare half hour, it would be good to have a kombi owners opinion of the said vehicle, but the vendor has not responded to my road tax request so I think it would be a waste of your time.

It didn't sell, so is back on the market again - £10k starting price.

It didn't sell at £13,950 before and is at £12.5k already.

I am not surprised the kombi did not sell, i doubt anyone managed to view the camper as the vendor won`t disclose their phone number ,i  would have viewed the camper and paid for a inspection had the circumstances been different. My search continues.

Sold on eBay tonight for £17000.
