Recently a number of members have taken to posting quite specific stuff on there about various aspects of either technical issues or maybe cosmetic updates. I'd prefer this not to happen as a good proportion of members here on the main site are not members of Facebook, let alone the group, and it means they miss out on the content. Further, I've always seen the Facebook page as purely a fan page, effectively an accessory to the main site. Some traders try to get in on the action by joining and surreptitiously marketing their wares. I believe this to be unfair on the traders who pay to advertise here on the main site. I do then ask such traders if they would like to advertise, some do, some don't.
I know it's very straightforward to post stuff on Facebook, I certainly use it to upload photos quickly of anything I feel is worthwhile, but always attempt to get the content mirrored here on brazilianvwbay.com as soon as possible. If I could ask members to think of the Facebook page in a similar way to me, I'd very much appreciate it.

I think it's the ease of posting photos on FB compared with this main forum site that is the attraction. Putting photos up from the phone on here is anything but straightforward.
I try to use this site wherever possible but I understand your comments, Tim.

I know it's no substitute for the main forum, however, the FB page really helped out one forum member today!Fantastic response, would not get that much interest driving any other vehicle! Well done everyone for trying to sort Steph's breakdown out, especially Mr and Mrs Beakyboy, above and beyond and all that. Let's hope Danbury can now get them back on the road ASAP.
