Can anyone suggest a good place to get flag poles from? What is the best height to go for?

I think most us have purchased ours at shows such as Camperjam or Volksworld and this year they were selling them at Dubs in the Forest too. Poles range from 6mtrs to 10mtrs.
Last weekend we had flag poles in the entire range of sizes and none looked out of place.
Think its all down to personal preference and the size and number of flags you wish to fly.

Out of event season you can pick them up on Amazon or Ebay by searching telescopic fibreglass pole.

@Scooby is the font of all knowledge on flag poles , am sure he'll be along soon Very Happy

Don't forget to purchase a decent size ground stake to support it. I made the mistake of ordering one that was too short and it was about as useless as a chocolate teapot.

From 6m to 10m we had them all at DITF, but we would offer the following for consideration . . .

10m is perhaps a little tall.
While 6m maybe a little small.
We have a 7m pole and sturdy stake.
A heavy hammer for ground to break.
On top of the pole we fly a coloured dragon.
Just below the Brazi flag with our Scooby on.
Light flags doo seem to fly best.
Size not important, I only jest.
Two small bungees required per flag.
Black duct tape also needed, kept in a bag.
Tape above and below each bungee on the pole.
Also a little on each friction joint is good on the whole.
Follow these words and you should be good.
If not just ask if I'm in the neighbourhood.

Sorry it does not all scan Rolling Eyes

Guess I should not give up the day job!

Forgot to mention on the subject of flag poles . . .

Solar lights wrapped around the pole doo light up the night
Whether they are Red, White or Blue, all will delight.
Static or flashing that black duct tape is useful here too.
When fully charged they should last the night through.
Buy them at a garden centre as they are cheaper than at shows.
This is the wisdom we can offer from some one who knows.
They can act as a beacon to find you Kombi at night.
Well that's enough from me, have a good day & good night.

Sorry, could not stop myself!

And if in the night your pole does droppy,
Don't feel bad because its gone floppy,
Just stay in bed till its nice and light,
Till some other folks prop your pole upright,
In DITF i did suffer pole dysfunction,
Through not taping my joints at every junction!

So many poets amongst us,
Who really would have though,
I really am inspired,
And this bug I think I've caught.

We fly our flags so proudly,
From our little six metre pole,
Fairy lights add some sparkle,
But that's just how we roll.

My advice, go out and buy one,
Then just to choose the flags you'll fly,
They will be a great addition.
To our club showground in the sky.
