Subject: Awning Gutter Attachment Poles Mon Aug 25, 2014 4:06 pm
Hi Guys
I'm using the 4 section poles to attach my outdoor revolution oxygen 2 awning. My current solution is to fold over the beading strip of the awning and trap it down with the awning pole. This means I can only use two clamps, causing the pole to 'bow' upwards in the middle. Is there a better solution so that I can use the third clamp?
My alternative would be to similarly 'trap' the web strap that comes with a figure 8 fixing kit and then just use the 3 sections of figure 8 to feed in the awning strip.

Have you tried wrapping the beading strip over the top of the pole, around the back and then underneath. Youmcan then clamp the pole to the gutter from underneath the beading strip

Thanks Kiteman. Yes I have recently tried that too and it seems to work if I make sure the wing nut is underneath the clamp rather than on top (could tear through when stormy etc) Cheers for boosting my confidence a liitle .

Are you sure there isn't a sleeve to slide the pole through?
