Last year my sink tap stopped working in my Diamond Kombi. I thought before my 1st holiday this year I would look into replacing the pump and/or tap. However looking under the sink and behind the water tank the wires just disappear behind the back panel. Has anyone got any ideas how I can make the changes with out moving all the cabinets. Is the something I am missing, or do I just cut the wires where I can see them.
If it's the same as ours then the pump sits in the bottom of the water bottle. It might just be a question of checking the connections to the pump or replacing it.
Thanks for the link to the thread. Does seem to have been a common theme. It is a shame all the wires are behind the rear cabinet wall as replacement would just be an issue of plug and play. I might look at a different way of getting water that would give us more cupboard space as well
What happens when you turn the tap? Any clicking or whirring or anything?
There was a click but no noise from pump. Therefore as a test I cut the wires coming out the tap and joined them together. The pump worked so it must be the micro switch broken in the tap. Going to see about getting replacement tap or fitting push switch on side. Many thanks for help

Just thought I would let you know I have just pulled the tap apart checked the micro switch and ensure contact was being made by adjusting internal screwing mechanisms and now pump is working again.

The microswitch being broken happened to us, too. Annoying, but since we don't use the sink at all (except for standing things in!), it's no longer an issue.
