Hi all,
I joined a service called 'Book a Classic' a while back, where people can hire your vehicle for photoshoots, special events (owner driving).
I totally forgot about it, but just got contacted by someone about a prom.
Seems like easy money, but I'm not sure about insurance.
Percy is not being used as a cab, but that seems to be the right sort of insurance.
Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers,
Alex.

We looked into this a few years ago. You would need insurance "for hire and reward", but in addition you would need to be licensed by the local authority for use as a cab. IMO, far too mush hassle for a few hundred quid.
Weddings are different however and well worth doing.

Super- many thanks.
What did you to cover weddings? That would be like a prom, I think?

I'm afraid not, Proms and Weddings are treated completely differently, one as hire and reward, like a taxi that needs a special license, the other as straight forward event hire.
