Certainly will - we will be packed to the proverbial gunnels. Route being planned now. Provisional one is Leicester to Calais, Calais to Paris, Paris to Geneva, Geneva to Limoges and finally Limoges to La Vendee - and there won't be a sat nav in sight. !!

Today's weather has put me in mind of this trip - let's hope we get a sunny summer this year.

Just received an update re the breathaliser issue, from MAG

IAM director of policy and research Neil Greig said: “The law for carrying breathalysers will no longer be enforced through fines but in order to comply with the law you must keep a breathalyser kit in the car whenever you’re travelling to or through France.”

Make sense? No not really but I guess I'll still be buying one.

They're not expensive - about £3. We are going to draw attention so best to cover all eventualities. It'll start the moment we line-up for the Bretagne!

We've decided that Boris is having his first trip abroad this year so he'll be joining us.

Poor old Boris - He'll be knackered by the time we return - with all the walkies that the kids will want to take him on! LOL

Boz can't have too many walks (or treats). All offers to entertain him gratefully received!

My Daniella is doggie mad - Boz better go on a diet prior to the hols as Scooby Snaks will be the order of the day !

Excellent - maybe she can teach him a new trick. He'll do anything for food.

Tim and I have been working on a route for France and have come up with this:

ROUTE

You need to click on Streetview once you've opened it to get an idea of junctions, etc. You can also include a large map showing the route. If you hover over the pics with your mouse there are options for Text only, etc.

The idea is that we travel south down the D137/N137 in convoy as best we can. I've included a stop at an Aire de Repos south of Rennes. It has a Total Petrol station, a small shop, toilets and a restaurant as well I think, plus plenty of room for parking so we can all get back together. We usually put the kettle on and have a coffee and stretch our legs before driving on. (Pommeniac)

Nantes is the only tricky part of the route - we'll need to go round on the ring road. Once past Nantes we'll be taking the country roads through Lege and Aizenay to Saint Julien de Landes and the campsite.

Yep sure, but fear not, once the Sleepover is behind us there will be lots of discussion before we head South.
