2014 Northern Chapter Meet

No hook up I'm afraid.

I hope you arrive midday to join for the walk. I'll bring some charcoal but I don't have any tools. I assume I should bring some BBQ food. I don't have a cool box do once my fridge has been switched off we will have to eat it all up even if it rains!

We also plan to get there around midday and are definitely up for a little walk.

Skooby - we usually stick a couple of ice blocks in our fridge when not on electric hookup. The fridge acts as a pretty good cool box and keeps stuff a lot colder for a couple of days than just relying on the temperature of the beer!

I started writing a sentence I didn't end Martin. Are we allocating any food types to each other or just bring what I want?

I thought we'd just bring whatever we wanted, Simon - I'm sure there'll be some sharing though, particularly if yours looks better than what we bring!

Looks like the weather will be dry but cloudy and a bit cooler, from Friday to Sunday, I'll settle for that I suppose.

Definitely. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, bring a hosepipe...

I've just spoken to the site to check everything is ok.   

They say that they can run hook ups into our area for 8 vans and that someone has already asked for one. I can't think of any simple way of allocating them other than first come, first served. Any thoughts?

I think the cables will only stretch to one side of the field.

I have a 3-way splitter and a 2-way splitter that you guys are welcome to borrow if someone fancies popping into Reading on the way north.

Thanks Keith but I don't think we've got anyone coming from that far south.

I have a twin socket extension cable that plugs between my mains lead and the bus.

If someone can bring along a 13amp plug to blue Euro socket cable (the type of thing you use at home to plug in your bus on the drive) - LIKE THIS

then I can chain two extra hook-ups from Roobarb.

I'll bring one.

I have twin outlet that plugs into hook up in back of engine bay,so one more off there! i will bring my 25m and 10m leads as well

She didn't say and tbh I wouldn't have understood if she had!   

Just bought 2 big bags of charcoal from Morrisons

Sarah - any idea what time you'll be arriving?

Aiming to leave Harrogate between 4 & 5pm - should be there by 7pm (BBQ offerings/tongs/assorted hook up leads/glawning/throws in tow)
