No more Head Banging!

This one is courtesy of that super chap stoneyuk. He brought Eva round recently and I couldn't help but be impressed by his ingenuity. Guess what he uses one of these for?

What is that you ask? It's a foam insulation tube from B&Q that costs a quid (it's the larger of the 2 that they sell with the 13 - 22 label on it.)

Have a look at this:


Run a Stanley knife along it and clip it onto the bedboards. Fantastic! No more dings in my forehead now. It's even the right colour. Good times. Thanks stoney.

Oh, and in case you were wondering where do you store this when the bedboards are in use, why you stick it here where it's equally useful:

Yeah but that was there to support the previous veneered boards I had spare, they were 10mm too narrow.

I had new laminate board cut to fit, foamed and upholstered them as seen on photo, I now have to fit the fabric around the exisitng frame by fabric glue and then push the fabric between the frame and the pvc cover. No need to do it straight away but will sort it out soon.

scooby....i have been using a piece of this pipe insulation foam on the door entry for past year...it works a treat there too!
