| We have just had a great weekend in Swanage - although the start was wet to say the least. Took the ferry across from Sandbanks Friday afternoon Could not believe that six cars ahead on the ferry was Daisy - the BraziBay we hired in Sept last year from Camp in a VDub When we arrived at our campsite - Ulwell Cottage Caravan Park (see link below) Daisy was there too! http://www.ulwellcottagepark.co.uk/It was heavy rain when we arrived around 4.30pm (right up to 10.30pm) so did not go over to say hello that evening. (Must look into getting a Kyham Awning - ours took a while to put up in the rain!) In the morning the rain had gone and the sun shined through some light cloud (Sunday turned out even better) Had a brief word with the people that hired Daisy - spreading the good word and before breakfast - then we were off walking From the Campsite you can easily go up on to the downs or walk to the beach and the town (20mins) Plenty to in and around Swanage for us big kids (probably for little ones too) We thought this was a smashing little campsite, with good facilities and a good location If you want to tour and include Swanage we would recommend this site. Here are some pics from when were out and about Had a Bar-B-Q that night with the odd drink or two Left Sunday morning - went to Corfe Village, the Castle and to the Steam Railway - see below By late afternoon we thought about making our way home but the sky was blue and sun was shining Ended up going to Boscombe/Bournmouth for the rest of the day! Had a cuppa and cake walked along the beach and ended up having fish & chips for tea Left 1.00pm on Friday got back 10.00pm Sunday - had a great time ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| Well spotted Tim The Scooby Pirate Radio Show - cant go into too much detail - but can only be heard by similar hounds! It also doubles up for the secret device we are testing at present to try and locate other BraziBays (like radar but Bay-dar as coined by Peppa in another post) ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| Thanks Scooby for the lovely writeup – it's great to see photos of people who've actually been there, rather than small/grainy images from some campsites book. And a nice coincidence with the other bay! Mhami's photo looks like a fairytale | |

| We are heading down that way soon - so thanks for sharing what looks like a great site. From there we are carrying on with a coastal tour that will take us all the way round to the north Devon coast, so I'll be scouring the site for other handy hints on good places to stay. | |

| Some cracking pictures. Think I'm going to head that way this weekend. Did you have to pay extra for the awning or was it included in the price? ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| After reading this thread decided to give Swanage ago myself. Stayed at East Creech campsite, about 2 miles from Corfe castle. Cracking campsite and only £12 a night Corfe castle is amazing, especialy when we first turned up and the mist hadn't cleared fully. On the way back to Ginger saw another Brazzi parked up that happened to be Lady J. Didn't get to say hello though Pics to follow ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| If you go to Cornwall take a look at Charlestown . Lovely old village with wooden tall ships in the harbour and great ice cream ! Also the ship wreck centre is worth a visit . . . Swanage looks good , must get round to it and take a look at the castle . | |
