Meet Rudi the Camper

Big hello everyone!

We’ve been following this forum for quite a while – long before we knew for sure that one day we would finally get our own Brazilian Bay…Thanks for all the info, it has been so useful!

Anyway it’s high time to come out and introduce ourselves and the van:
We are Connie and Pawel– two Poles from the North (Yorkshire ;-) and this is our van Rudi (the Camper). He is 2011 Danbury Diamond, in a crazy shade of orange but simply gorgeous! To earn his keep he has to be a working lad so we set up a company to hire him out. In the meantime he just drives our toddler to the nursery and goes camping with us.

We have missed all the Kombi Kapers last year but we hope to meet up with you somewhere this season!

That rainbow shot is magical ..... a good contender for next year's calendar methinks!

Hi and welcome, cracking photos, although I am a bit sick now, as Ive been trying to get one with a rainbow in it, and you beat me to it! This was my best effort to date, rubbish compared to yours.

DL - thanks for getting some green back on here - all the orange was starting to give me a headache!

Took this one from the passenger seat last October while en-route from Yate (Danbury service) to Winchcombe to meet up with my bro-in-law and an appointment with some Waxoyl using the compressor where he works - he had the afternoon off but his boss had said we cold use the workshop as long as he could have a good look round Tallulah!

We were were running slightly behind schedule so no time to stop and get a pic with Tallulah in.



You can even make out the lines of the heated front screen!

Husband says "thank you" for all the nice comments re: rainbow photo. And thanks for other rainbow photos - it's really magical! Let's have some more :-)

Kiteman - we always knew the van was going to be orange ;-) We wanted to call him Ginger and then... I found out there was already another Ginger running out there! For a while we were considering Ginger II but finally settled for Rudi (Rudy in Polish means "ginger" or "red hed")

From your pics Rudy appears to have a large rack up front can you advise who's make?

I think this one is a decent calendar contender, it shows how our Kombis like to play together.

Roof rack is from Danbury - it's that standard version.
We had to have roof rack! Before we ordered Rudi we rented a BraziBay for our wedding anniversary and straight away we realised that with all our camping stuff + pushchair, babycarrier and so on we could do with some extra space for luggage ;-).

Rudy 102 the Tank...that's correct. Well, I guess there are some similarities and it's a part of a joke but I never thought anybody would realise. Well spotted.

Well, maybe one day -who knows.

Got mine done after I had Ginger for a year. Most places that do it can get it done in a day. Normally around £350
