| I was thinking sleeping bags now I'm considering duvets. Maybe duvet for us, possibly one of the 3in1 sorts for extra flexibility/options & sleeping bags for children. I'm a 'cold' person so need to be cosy, hubby warmer than me & obviously don't want the little peeps to be chilly! | |

| Am 6 foot, so my legs stick out then end of the bed! I started with duvet and memory foam, and now use a double sleeping bag - if you're tall, this may work out best.

| We use a duvet with a thick blanket underneath, Oli has a sleeping bag for up top although he has been known to pack his duvet too on occasion. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| For their roof-bed, Danbury supply an inch thick, fabric covered mattress which folds in half when not in use. Tockfield (http://www.foam.co.uk/) were able to make for us a mattress with similar style and covering but slightly wider to fit the main bed in our Diamond camper. This acts as a very comfortable 2-inch memory-foam topper but still folds in the rear section when travelling. osg | |

| When my Kombi's upholstery is changed next month the foam in the rock n roll bed is being replaced with something much thicker. Hopefully this will mean we won't need to lug around a piece of memory foam on every trip. | |

| Double duvet for us, which we store, together with pillows, in a box similar to this one, so it's easy to grab at the last minute. It's just the right size to fit upside down between the front seats while travelling, and goes in the utility tent at night.

Also keep a couple of sleeping bags under r&r bed to use as mattress topper if warm, or to sleep in if really cold. | |

| We have used both - we have a duvet for the summer with a silk duvet cover which is great and at the start and end of the seasons we have sleeping bags. I favour the bags when Boris is sharing the bed as he takes up too much room on the duvet! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| Our duvet gets rolled and tied with a belt when not in use to get most of the air out so it takes up less space. A large 'StuffIt' bag would probably work as well although may take longer to 'stuff'. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| If we're out and about we lay the duvet over the bags and stuff that sit behing the seat over the engine bay. Keeps things out of site from prying eyes ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| Fab stuff! Thanks, was wondering how/where to best store duvet when not in use without taking up too much space. Great ideas. | |

| I was given some sleeping bags by my dad that he bought sometime in the seventies but they keep us all as warm as toast on a cod night in the van ________________________________________________________________________________ "Life is for Living" | |

| We started with a duvet then changed to sleeping bags - It's better for us given the fact that I'm somewhat larger than Tina ( my better half)- we also have foam matress protector that we use underneath the bags - makes it very comfy and cosy. When we are touring we simply roll the mattressand foam protector back into the luggage area and put the bags /cases ontop. works quite well. | |
