Tuscany and back pt2

The weather hadn’t been bad considering we had left home in a drizzle but the further South we drove it improved without rain and by the time we had got to St Thome was considerably warmer. We wanted to spend a few days on the Cote D’Azur so had picked a site recommended to us at Cavalaire Sur Mer near St Tropez – It was a good choice being a short walk from both the town centre and the beach with excellent facilities and we stayed for 3 nights. Our next stopover was San Remo and the satnav had given 3+ hours using payage or 7+ hours otherwise and a lot longer in Olive averaging 60mph so we opted for the shorter journey time as we now wanted to get into Italy quickly – it was a bit hairy on the Autostratta at some points with cross winds off the sea but it was still a good route with lots of great views.
