Sorry scoobs, can't make it this year, we are booked in for a 'posh frocks do' on Saturday, (I know where I'd rather be).

That is a shame - mind you an opportunity to put on a 'posh frock' is not to be missed!

The weather is looking promising for the weekend

As the weather forecast remained good for Saturday 27th October 2012 we decided to go down to Wooloacombe for our last trip before Christmas. The weather was so good on the Saturday we decided we would spend all day in Woolacombe. We arrived just after 10.00am on the Saturday morning, having visited our camp site (The Hidden Valley) on the way so we could book in and then arrive later that evening without having to bother anyone.

We played on the sand for a while before spending a lot of time looking in to rock pools and climbing as many rocks as we could. Nearly getting wet now and then as the waves came in! The day just flew. Around 5.30pm we decided to make our way back to the camp site and on the way stop off at a local pub for our evening meal to save cooking. Tomorrow we would return to look at the campers that congregate in the main car park after the Cruise down from the Final Fling camp site. Here are a few pics from the Sunday, which was a bit wet but it did not stop us enjoying our morning in Woolacombe.


Having had a fish & chip lunch and looked at the campers in the car park, it was time to make our way home. Well that was our Woolacombe Weekend, fairly short in duration, but we had a FAB time. We got home around 5.00pm on Sunday afternoon.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

Think we saw you heading northbound M5 early afternoon, near Weston.

Unfortunately we were heading south, and Pat was on about the cows in the nearside fields, so by the time I had seen you and waved, you had gone by.

It could of been us, but sorry dizzy we did not see you
