| Have you tried all the usual places. JK, CC, heritage etc. Failing that try ebay and Google. Just searched 'T2 bay mirrors' and came up with a few hits ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| Hi Ray, I have just bought a new pair of chrome/stainless door mirrors from VW Heritage...they have grey trim around the mirror. £14.50 per mirror and got a 5% discount Chris | |

| Got stainless steel ones on offer from just kampers. You need to be careful as the Brazil bay need a longer thread. You might have to tap a few more turns to make them secure. ________________________________________________________________________________ Visit my T2c Blog at http://t2bay.blogspot.co.uk/ | |

| The other option is to replace the full width retaining nuts with a thinner (half width) version. | |

| Mega-bug sell the stainless mirrors as do a host of other VW Aircooled specialists. The trick is to wind the locking nut as far up the shaft - using grips etc - before fitting. Make sure you fit a plastic grommet too to prevent water ingress. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| I have a Danbury watercooled T2 camper which I have had from new in 2008 . I opted for chrome wing mirrors and those fitted from new served me well . They became pitted over time and replaced them about 2 years ago with stainless steel from just kampers . I'm afraid these have not been so good . The actual mirrors refuse to remain rigid when driving and forever need adjusting . Iv even tried taping them up without any improvement . Can anyone recommend a quality replacement ? I have also considered buying a pair of those fitted as standard on the original . They are much bigger , but very expensive , close to £300 a pair from just kampers . Sorry to ramble on . Has anyone had similar problems . Thankyou | |

| Danbury did have a good stock of the original large black mirrors which they had removed to replace with the smaller shiny versions. We were able to buy a replacement black mirror at a reasonable price. Perhaps they still have some. osg | |
