Northern (and beyond?) Chapter Meet 2016 - June 10th to 12th

I've got some BBQ tools too so will pack those, fingers crossed we'll be there in plenty of time..

Could somebody bring some walkie talkies? It will help us to keep the cruise together on Sunday.

Is the BBQ Friday or Saturday or both?

Both, Scooby but it's not compulsory.

There are two good pubs in Ashford in the Water as an alternative, but they are popular so you would probably have to book a table if you wanted an alternative to the BBQ. There are about 50 of us, so I think we will probably have to keep stoking up the BBQ. It's very much a DIY affair, so throw something on the BBQ as and when.

Our Warwickshire whizzers are coming with Als and they have indicated they may not make the BBQ on Friday!
Guess we shall have them Saturday night - either way cannot wait.

I think keeping the BBQ going is a good idea, particularly if we can't have a campfire.

We'll be making popcorn one evening as drinks snacks...

Don't panic, there are some excellent farm shops and butchers in Bakewell, whether your preference is for sausages, pies, black pudding, whatever. Tripe and trotters might be difficult to come by though!

I have now confirmed the group booking with the Tramway Museum for Sunday. I didn't have to pay in advance, but I will have to pay for the whole group on arrival. Could you all have enough cash in hand to pay me at the weekend please? Entry is £10 for adults, £9 for seniors (over 60) and £6 for children (4 to 15).

lordy - the pressure is on - we shall leave Warwickshire at 5 ish but unlikely to be up until 8 ish - will depend on what time you eat your tea - don't southerners eat later than northerners?

We eat any time we get hungry. When southerners have lunch we have dinner, and when southerners have dinner we have tea, as you correctly observed. The BBQ will still be lit when you arrive anyway.
