Another great weekend with our Forum friends. A massive thank you to Gill and Alan for organising everything. Unfortunately, even their organisational skills couldn't keep the rain at bay, but that didn't stop us from having a lovely time.
There'll be a Blog (probably tomorrow) and I'll stick a date in for next year's event.
Meanwhile, if any of you intrepid people fancy coming up North again, we'll be at the Appletreewick Beer Festival in October. Search the Forum for more info.

I would just like to add my thanks too for a wonderful weekend with everyone who attended the northern meeting. Alan and Gill you did a great job with our packs, love the van sticker, and it was a beautiful setting and site, lovely touch at the end at the tram museum. Thanks for making it such a success. From a tired but happy HH crew

What a great weekend!
We all had a fab time and had a very good run home - thanks for the M1 closure heads up Beaky!
Really good to see everyone, in a great location and nice to get out on the bikes with a few hills to test us.
Well done and many thanks to the Voyager crew for sorting everything. You done good!
Here's a few pics:
We also spotted someone practicing for the next Sleepover after Tim suggested there might be a 'reversing challenge':

This is what inconvenienced some members as they drove back on Sunday. Surely he could have found a better pitch to make camp for a night!
Thousands of motorists using the M1 have been disrupted by a man who camped on an information board gantry for more than 24 hours. The man wrote a message on the gantry in what appeared to be some kind of protest, after he climbed up at about midday on Sunday. He was arrested for causing a public nuisance when he eventually came down shortly after 16:00 BST on Monday. Leicestershire Police said negotiators talked him down.

We went across to the A1 Newark added at least 1hr to our journey , but at least we were moving all the time .Shame it was raining so much otherwise the scenic route would have been quite pleasant .

Great weekend, many thanks to Alan and Gill for organising, stayed an extra night got home at 5PM last night, M1 was closed at junction 24 so also used A1 via Newark, ended up 5 miles longer but was over an hour quicker than journey up, with no hold ups. However the rain theme continued all way home. Todays tasks involve trying to dry out the awning and groundsheets to repack for next weeks camping in New forest.
