Can anyone remember if we paid in full or just deposit?

I had a choice but decided to pay in full.

The campsite doesn't seem to have been consistent about sending out receipts by email. Apart from my own, they have only sent me two receipts by email, which I have forwarded on to Dalesman and Beakyboy. I suggest that everyone makes a note of how much they paid in advance. I will ask the campsite to let me have a list of bookings and payments so that we can reconcile if necessary.

I'm pretty sure we paid in full. Thanks for all your efforts, Voyager.

Re: BBQ, what sort of quantity of grub should we bring assuming we are catering for ourselves and anyone else who needs grub?

Got 4 burgers & 4 kebabs at the butchers so far. That's more than we will eat.

What about chutneys, rolls etc?

We will be a bag of charcoal as requested as well.

If everybody brings as much as they would eat themselves, that should be fine. Don't forget salads and suchlike. Any vegetarians should bring vegetarian options to make sure that they are catered for. I won't be supplying any food other than to make the same contribution as everyone else. As long as we are well stocked for Friday night there are plenty of good food shops in Bakewell. For the bargain hunters among you, Lidl currently have 7Kg bags of charcoal on offer for £2.89. By the way, we are very informal, the communal barbecues are not compulsory if anyone wants to eat out instead. However, the pubs in Ashford-in-the Water are very popular, so advance booking is suggested.

We are hoping to come, but wont know for a few days, after spending 7 hours in casualty yesterday they decided to keep him in so they could scan the knee first thing this morning, as nothing showed up on the xray. He has torn the top ligament, they are hoping to operate this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
What better way could he have of recovering from a minor operation!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm sure you'll be fine with the bell tent. We have 15 of the 21 pitches on the field with hook-ups, so we can sort out the available space between us. The field is also used for tents, and when we were last there quite a few people had huge tents with their cars parked alongside.
