For anyone considering it, that's not been before, we highly recommend it! Our children would never forgive us if we didn't go. Fab! Oli will be very happy to have his partner in crime around! ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Progress is being made. Currently thinking that I'll get the ferry and Gina and Charley take a flight. Biarritz airport is only 3 miles from the campsite! Just need to sort out some dates at work but things are looking more positive. | |

Great news HH , if you feel unwell on the Ferry we'll run to the bar and buy you another drink ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker

Surely if you can't feel your feet, sea sickness is irrelevant....?! ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Please note that since I first posted about the trip, the Bilbao ferry has sold out. Consequently we have to shift the holiday forward by 1 day and travel in/out of Santander.
Please make sure you can cope with these changes with regards to your leave etc. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Tim, it looks as if the arrival time in Santander is very late at 18.15. It's now a 245km drive, so that means that allowing for the time taken to get off the boat it's going to be pretty late by the time we get to the campsite. I believe that last arrival is 21.00 or 22.30 if pre-arranged. It's going to be dark, that's for sure. We are completely flexible for dates, but we don't really want to be racing against the clock in either direction. | |

We could always travel independently on a different day if it makes it any easier.

| I fully understand about the late arrival and my first thought was how would that affect our arrival at the campsite. I have been assured by our agent that the campsite will be made aware of this and to accommodate it. There are so many elements to this equation such as availability on the ferry, campsite booking etc that we need to fix down certain points. If anyone feels they would prefer to travel independently they are of course free to do so and will need to speak with our agent about those specifics.
Sunset on the day we arrive would be 2130. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Ok, we've booked! Spoke to Jean this morning although she hasn't taken a deposit yet as they need to finalise everything on their system. She will contact me next week for a deposit.
We've booked the dates as planned for the moment, but we are considering extending our trip. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Just a heads up Guys , these Ferry crossings are extremely popular. Select sites have reserved the sailings that Tim has indicated for our party but anybody like Tim and I with work commitments and needing to travel back earlier does really need to get their travel plans sorted with Jean a.s.a.p.
Please don't miss out on the chance of a fantastic holiday , get booked up now , spaces are still available.

| Change of plan for us too! We are still going to join the Kaper but we are going to make our own way there and back. I'm getting the overnight Portsmouth to St Marlo ferry on the 22/07 and picking up the non seafarers from Nantes airport the following day before heading to Biarritz. A hotel stopover is planned in La Rochelle to break up the journey. We will be at the campsite from Sunday 24/07 until Friday 05/08 before we do everything in reverse to return home. Select Sites have taken care of the booking but they are still waiting for confirmation from the campsite as to the slight change of dates.

Welcome aboard! The Kombi Kaper is amazing fun, 2016 will be our third! What ages are you're girls, our son is 10 and enjoys 'collecting' new campervan friends. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| We're still in the planning stages, but will probably be hanging around in Spain for another week at the end of the Kaper.
The family who joined us for the convoy and a few days last year (Vader) are thinking they might be in the area after visiting family near Toulouse, so we have suggested we will meet up somewhere in northern Spain for a few days (week?) before heading home.
Anyone else thinking they might chillax is Spain for a bit longer?
