Those wing mirrors witnessed the accident. They’ll be traumatised.

I have stopped worse..... (bit of an exaggeration) but a mole grip on a leaking brake hose, a ring spanner instead of a steering wheel, and the complete front end of an 1100 only held on by the steering rack, spring to mind, all on the motorway

They may not have had too much time for 'reflection', they may just 'crack' at anytime when thinking back on what could have happened

I wonder what happened with the water lines to the radiator. This guy wasn't just maneuvering the Kombi, he brought it back from where it was parked. There is no info on what will happen to it, despite the fact the guy jokes on fixing it. They probably have other Kombis, so use it as parts donnor isn't strange. It is possible that the Kombi has no insurance (no more than the mandatory one, that only covers personal injuries, that didn't happened here). Insurance for company owned Kombis are quite expensive, around £1750 an year. I surelly would keep it for parts…
