Have they given a date yet?

Hopefully Merlot will be ready on or around 26th March. I recieved A LOT of pictures today of the work they have done and they have done LOTS of work on the bodywork, cut out some rust, gone back to bare metal, treated it all and now priming ready for painting at the weekend/next week. It really will look amazing when we get it!

Are they putting any Dynamat on the inside of the panels or any waxoyl in there?

Did you get any images of it before primer?

I can bet you did not! As this would show how much filler they used!

High build up coats of primer hide a multiple of sins.

Yep, I got lots of pics at various stages.

They have cut chunks out of bodywork, welded in new bits, replaced sheets, filled bits, sanded bits.

I asked for pics throughout and regular updates (some of which looks scary!) I have seen the filler and a lot of repairs have been taken back to bare metal and rust treated as well as filled here and there.

As they sent me quite a few pics (some at scary stages) I thought it would be more exciting to see the finished, rubbed down, primed version.

I could select a few of the “scary” pictures and upload these, but as they sent me 50 pictures in the last 3 emails I didn’t think I could upload them all

The sad thing is that a bit of preventative work earlier in your Braz's life, would have meant much of this repair would never have been needed.

When we saw it I thought it looked a bit shabby and not well looked after, but probably didn’t realise the bodywork needed this much help.

However, the fact it has only done 15,000 miles was quite appealing (so should hopefully be pretty mechanically sound) and Daniel at Danbury assured us that all bodywork, interior and the mechanical/electrical side would all be thoroughly checked and put right and fully restored before we got it. He also said when we get it, it will look like new.

I think/hope Danbury do take pride in what they do and I am sure we will be very happy with the finished result.
