We always felt the internal lights are a little harsh for relaxing of an evening. Being inspired by a recent post, I thought I would show what I have done with lighting.
I bought these and ran them round the top of the pop top. They are long enough to do the back and two sides.

Wiring is simple if you don't have a TV as the fuse box behind the passenger seat has a spare fuse, else share a supply. Micro trunking from screwfix hides the cable. They take less than 2A can be dimmed and a choice of colours including white. All screwless as sticky pads or adhesive on LED strip and trunking, was used so if they don't last no lasting mark has been made. Though a hole was made to supply the earth for this circuit, this is hidden by the fuse box as no other convenient neat hole was present.

Best thing the remote can turn them off. No more who's turn is it to turn off the lights when in bed.

Enlightening.

Similar setup to Tallulah's roof lights although Tallulah's are on the outside, up under the pop top and are controlled via Bluetooth.

very nice, good idea.

We have a more temporary solution with some Battery powered fairy lights we have pinned up round the hole of the pop top, to use in the same way, much better than the harsh lights Smile

Good to know about the spare fuse.

We stick to solar & battery lights at night to have a nice ambience. The reading lights are fine but our LED strip lights are bright so we use them for practical stuff like cooking then use solar etc.
