Roof rack nets? Empty

Can anyone recommend a suitable bungy net that will cover the roof rack on our pop top camper? I don't want our luggage flying off the roof on the motorway!

I use a few straps on ours plus one of these: Luggage Net, although it could do with being slightly bigger.

I agree with Abs Iris, the best way to secure things is with straps like this.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/261371245768?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95

They can be ratcheted down hard to make it secure, or if you use rope, use a 'truckers hitch', which does the same thing.

I have only used a net in the past if I've used a tarp to cover the load, and the net stops it flapping about. A better solution is to pack everything in waterproof stuff bags(I got mine from Aldi a couple of years back), but in all honesty, I personally try to avoid using the roof rack unless absolutely necessary.

Also, it might sound obvious, but check that the rack is fixed properly fixed to the roof gutters,  I've seen plenty of things, including a brand new bath, and a boat, still beautifully strapped to a roof rack, on the motorway.  Smile

And by the way ....Hi and welcome

Thank you. We picked our Iris up last Friday! Sooo excited! Yes, a kind of greeny blue; more turqouise I guess. We just liked the name.

Thanks everyone for the replies re: roof rack. Much appreciated.
