| I will post some pics in due course but those on this years Kombi kaper will be the first to see 'Baby T' in person.
However, as a one-off 'for your eyes only' special showing (specifically for canines) I am willing to take the covers off a bit early in return for a small favour........
......We have a small item (or two) that require a lift back to Reading from the Brazi Bay Beach Day and hoped Scooby might be willing to assist ... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

So you'll be changing the emphasis in the word yellange to compensate, YELLange rather than yellANGE We 'could' name the trailer Yell and rename Tallulah Ange however the trailer is already being referred to as 'Baby T' so it's a bit late.... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Spent the afternoon putting the trailer together and I'm pleased to announce that 'Baby T' is now ready for a road test! (Although I've already identified a couple of improvements that 'might' be actioned before our trip to France next week.) I attached the side panels using a rough frame made of wooden batten on the inside of the metal trailer frame. Then I attached the reflective (towing) triangle to the mudguard with rivets and the mudguard to the trailer side panel using small blocks of batten on the inside to screw into. ...and replaced the wheel: I repeated the process on the other side then fitted the front panel in the same way. I then fitted some bungee hooks to accommodate the cover - there is a plan to build a solid lid in the future - and a new secondary/safety coupling to make everything legal. Very pleased with the outcome. Now for the moment you've all been waiting for...... Drum roll............ Before: (sorry it's so small it's the one from the original ebay ad) After: Phase 2: some slight tweaks to improve the end result such as lining the inside to hide the wooden frame and add a little extra strength and add some corner trim (painted appropriately) to the outside to hide and protect the edges if the plywood paneling. Phase 3: the lid, looking like a winter project. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Just completed a 'test load' in preparation for France.
Our kayak and associated equipment all fits along with a few other large(ish) items leaving plenty of space in Tallulah for French goodies! ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Thanks everyone, I've had fun working on it. Tallulah came home today so i hooked Baby T up and took it for a test drive to see if anything would shake loose. I think i found all of the speed bumps within a 1 mile radius of our house just to be sure but everything was still attached when I got back. There was a very slight wobble in the wheel bearings after the run - probably because they are new and this was the first time on the road for them - so i popped off the wheels and hub covers, added a bit more grease and gave them a 1/6 of a turn on the hub knut before refitting the split pin. I then went for another spin round the block and everything is now nice and sturdy although the stub axle did warm up a bit - need to keep an eye on that. I also did a practice load with all the kit we want to take to France and will take it for a 'loaded' road test tomorrow. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark
