| I spray painted the 2 front kick panels today to match the grey of Max's door cards: Makes things feel even brighter upfront. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Can't wait to see it - and all other Kombi improvements! Ashamed to admit but we haven't done anything with ours yet - apart from collecting it so browsing through the forum I was admiring all sorts of things you guys have done with your vehicles. Looking forward to seeing other vans and for inspiration (or as my husband said - to get depressed that ours looks so dull inside...) Never mind - we will get there | |

I'm not going to Volksworld so can I see the new stuff now The cards look great, did you just primer and paint, how did it take to the washerbottle flap? | |

| Because the cards were already dark I just sprayed them with Halfords Surface Cleaner, thereby removing any grease. The colour I chose was just a regular aerosol - Ford Polar Grey, a non metallic colour. I put the panels on some clean sheeting out in the back yard and built up the layers over a couple of hours. The washer bottle flap took the paint very well actually, despite being vinyl. I guess because it's flat, and again I doused it in surface cleaner, that helped the paint to adhere. You can see Max's new bits on the evening of Sunday 25th, when I upload the photos from the show! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| I didn’t prime mine before painting but did use a surface cleaner. 3 years on and it still looks great. | |
