Just spotted No Dogs at Sandown Park. Boris won't be happy. I'll need to check with Mrs B that she's happy to go without him.

Yes it's one of the few 'no pets' shows... possibly the only one.

Scooby will tip toe in during the early hours and then keep his head down

Hi Tim - very sorry but we're going to have to duck out of this one now - we can't find anyone to look after Boris that weekend and I'd rather let you know now than closer to the time so that you can find a replacement.

A real shame because we were looking forward to meeting lots of you so early in the season. We'll be at other more dog friendly events though so I'm sure we'll meet up some time this year.

Would it help if Boris could spend the day with my sister's 2 dogs about 5 miles from the show? Drop him off before, collect after? She's got a Spaniel and Lab/Pointer-cross.

I'll try and persuade Mrs B - trouble is he's not very sociable - he's got grumpy in his old age (haven't we all!)
