We're just over a month away from our annual meet and you can now book your pitch using the drop down menu below!
As last year if you want to take advantage of having an EHU, there are just 10 pitches available and you must book for both the Friday and Saturday night. Each pitch ticket includes a Kombi and 2 occupants. If there are more in your party then there is an extra charge for adults.
The plan for this year is to arrive on the Friday - usually the BraziBays start arriving from around midday in the rally field. Friday afternoon we'll build the Kombicabana to give...
Can you believe that our club will be 10 years old on 27th September of this year!?! How the years have flown and how proud I am to see so many of our members making lifelong friends and doing exactly what our BraziBays are there for - going on adventures!!
It's been 2 years since we've had our very own show, the KOMBI Sleepover, but it's time for the return and we're heading back to where it all began - Anita's Camping and Caravanning Park near Banbury, Oxfordshire.
For those who have never been to a Sleepover, Anita's is a terrific venue for our meet. We have exclusive...
Make a note of the date ..... and have your Kombi ready for a road trip!!
10am Coffee and Cake at VW Kampers - get together with fellow owners, meet up with old friends and make new ones. As promised, you can now customize your own look to match your BraziBay with our new logo club clothing!

These are extraordinary times and for the majority of us I think we have never experienced such an event in our lifetimes and with the hope that our children will never have to tackle anything like this over their lifespan again.
Secondly, an apology. Many of you will know that since January I have been a full time member of the team at VW Kampers in Henfield. I'm delighted to say that interest in the BraziBay is strong and consequently my days fly by filled with talking about Kombis with people, handing over the keys to new owners,...
Hey folks - we're just over a month away from our 10th birthday celebration weekend. So I need your help please? A host of suggestions have flooded in for a theme for this event/party. Please vote for as many as you like. The theme should then help you decorate your BraziBay and yourselves accordingly for the big party on the Saturday night. The Kombi Krew who best encapsulate the theme will then be awarded Spike's Trophy for 2019. Get voting!!!
For those that know, Tango and I have been living and working in Ibiza since last September. It's been a wonderful experience, but I've found the teaching English really tough. I completely take my hat off to you if that is your profession. I have however got a good grip on the native language here and made some great new friends.
Tango and I will be returning to the UK at the start of July, and I've been invited to join the team at VW Kampers again for the summer, which I'm looking forward to. After that, we'll see!
But this means that I'm able to organise the celebrations...
We've discussed a register of our BraziBays previously and concerns over personal information were generally the reason we discounted it.
However, given so many of us photograph and post pictures of our BraziBays both here and all over Facebook I really don't see an issue with adding in your Kombi's registration into your profile. So I've updated the field and should you wish to put yours in, then please do.
It's an excellent way of keeping a virtual log of your BraziBay's history.
If you choose to just keep the registered year in the field, that is fine.
I have made a dedicated site with all camper van related stories here: https://wheatypetes.world/ Scroll down a bit and click the link where it says : For VW Campervan Travels click here (sister site) Hope somebody enjoys!
This is to help future owners in their search. Keep in mind that each Kombi is different so some may exhibit certain traits - others won't. But if you have an idea of what to expect before you view, it may help you make up your mind about whether the Bay you're looking at is for you or not.
I'll kick this thread off by talking about:-
Bodywork: depending on the age of the vehicle, where it's been kept and how well it's been maintained, there are certain areas that are prone...
The great debate - which variant of Brazilian Kombi is better? When it comes to buying second hand you may well have included this factor in your equation.
Of late, attitudes have tended towards the 1.4 Watercooled model being the one to go for because of its current availability new, modern engine and mpg figures. Which are all true, however this is not to say the variant doesn't have its weaknesses, ones that the 1.6 Aircooled does not demonstrate and therefore a decent sense of proportion needs to be taken when considering an used Kombi. Both Aircooled and Watercooled have their...
Just created a blog site - Euro travels in Peaches (Eurotrip/Slovenia/Satnavs/refugees and Liechtenstein articles) here: https://wheatypetesworld.wordpress.com/
Can't remember where to post this - but for those of you not having fun in France on a soggy Saturday night with nothing on the tele Nevillesadventures.com has been updated with our latest trip to bude.
It's not about migration, it is simply a humanitarian crisis, it really is. I have been to Syria, met some lovely people there and now see normal, professional, poor or war-ravaged migrants just like you or I, but here... now… homeless, sleeping rough and victims of the poverty gap. Peaches doesn’t like that, and neither do we… So…
Today was a strange day. The lovely Peaches was packed full of clothes, cool boxes full of hot food, sanitary items, sweet treats and home baked cakes....
We're a sociable lot on brazilianvwbay and we like nothing better than getting out and about in our Kombis, no matter what time of the year. We're not fair weather campervan owners!! The VW season normally kicks off for us with the Volksworld Show at Sandown Park, but seeing that is not until the end of March, I wanted to get a group together earlier in the new year so we could get our BraziBays flexing their King and Link pins!
For some years now we've convoyed on the Continent, and we'll be doing it again this summer. It's always fun and we create a bit of a stir on whichever roads...
After quitting my job and buying Skooby 3 years ago, we have had some great adventures. I return back to work next week (got to pay those servicing bills some how) so I have made a short video of pictures from the last 3 years and posted it on my blog...
An Orange, Flower-Covered Bay, Little Countries Beginning with ’L’ and a SatNav called Marilyn.
Let’s go to Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, I thought. Two of the smallest countries in the world. I don’t know much about them, which is reason enough to include them in our annual summer travels back to Blighty from our home in Bratislava.
Well now that we have finally got all our shipment to Korea - I guess its time to write up the adventures of Daphne Summer 2012. (you have to love moleskin notebooks)
Having spent the last ten years out of the UK we find the lack of aire de service de camping car a real pain. one of the easiest things to do in Europe, especially France and Germany is to just pull up in almost any village and be able to lay up for a night, usually for free. Any way that aside this year we...
Having suffered the British weather for the last 2 summers, I decided it was time to head to the continent in search of sunshine. I have a friend who, like me, is a single parent and I asked if she and her 2 young lads would like to join my son and me on a trip to France in Max.
France is notoriously excellent for choice when it comes to campsites, almost to an overwhelming degree. So to narrow things down I chose to go with a site found within the Eurocamp Independent listings. Originally I wanted to go to the Vendee as that looked promising for better weather, but by the time I...
